Activities and recourses in Moodle

With different materials and activities, it is possible to build appropriate task sets for the course to support the student's learning, as additional exercise material, and for task returns and assessment.

Moodle and JYU Online Courses have several different ways to use the materials and activities. The pedagogically sensible way of using it depends on what you want to do in the course. For example various material banks, exercises and discussions and group return opportunities for group work can be done to support the student.

Moodle also has the option of self-, peer- and student-based assessment.

Here's how to add material:

  1. Use the slider at the top right of the page to select the Edit mode on.
  2. Click + under the section where you want to add material.

  3. Select the appropriate Resource type from the Add Activity or Material window that opens.

You can mark frequently used resources as favorites by clicking on the star icon. The star icon is in the lower left corner of each option. The resources marked as favorites go to the top of the menu. Activities and Resources can be found on the All tab of the window, as well as on their own tabs.
