Prerequisites

To ease remote work university has decided to temporary allow remote connections from your home computer.

In order to successfully connect university Workstation you need Windows-computer and Cisco AnyConnect VPN-application
(How to install and use VPN)

Send an email to remotework@jyu.fi containing:
- explain need to remote work with couple of words
- name of your university workstation (How to find name of my workstation)

You'll receive reply when remote connection is available for you

How to take remote connection to university workstation

1) Use Cisco AnyConnect to create VPN-connection to university network

2) Start Remote Desktop Connection

3) Write the full name of your workstation to "Computer". You can find full name of your computer from the reply you received from
remotework@jyu.fi

4) Insert your username and password (username needs to be in form of JYUNET\username). Note: After this you might receive notification that identity of remote computer cannot be
confirmed, click "Yes" to this notification
