Elisa Ring application setup:
1. Open a web page: https://ring.mob2.elisa.fi
on a computer browser (chrome, edge, firefox, etc)
2. Click: ”Forgot your password?”
3. Use your phone number in its international form:
Example:: +35840123456 or +35850123456
If your number starts by 040 tai 050, leave off the first zero and add +358 to the beginning of the number
+358xxyyyyyy
4. You will soon receive a link for password change.
Tap the link on a message and choose new passworde (6 digits, numbers only).
-> Tap this text on a text message -> ”Luo Elisa Ring palvelun salasana täältä: ”ring.elisa.fi/….”.
5. Define new password twice to make sure it is right.
Please choose password that you can remember easily, but is not too easy to guess (please avoid: 123456, 000000, 1111111, etc.)
6. install Elisa Ring app on your smartphone from Play Store (Samsung) or App Store (iPhone).
If you've got a new Samsung phone and there is a work profile present, please install Ring app from work profile Play Store.
7. Open Elisa Ring app on your smartphone
8. Please log in using your phone number as a username, use phone number in its international form: +358xxyyyyyy
9. You will receive confirmation about login immediately by text message. Please follow the instruction on the screen. For example: ”call *888*9*…” Tap this.
(10. Sometimes phase 9 does not got through immediately, Please try again by tapping the link)
11. ”Varmennus suoritettu. Voit nyt aloittaa ohjelman käytön”/"Authentication completed. You may start using the App"
12. Note. On iPhone, Elisa Ring installation can get stuck after "Varmennus suoritettu"/"Authentication completed..." phase. Press home button in order to close the App.
Once you re-open the app, it will work.
Now you can:
- Change number visibility (note. this will affect to text messages also)
- make call transfers
- change presence status on Elisa Ring addressbook
- browse University of Jyväskylä phone numbers on Elisa Ring addressbook
- (If you're a member of an answering ring you can affect you presence on it)
