What is VPN connection?

You can find a summary of information about VPN connection in this guide. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection allows you to access the university's internal network and services from outside the university, regardless of your location.

A VPN provides secure remote access to the University network, as if the user were located on University premises. The service is intended for various temporary connectivity needs, as well as for access to restricted services on the university's internal (intra) network and to network disks.

Depending on the user's needs, the user (e.g. student or staff) may not need a VPN connection at all during normal use. If access to services is restricted to the University network area, the user must access the services from the University campus area or connect to the University network area using a VPN service.

To connect, you will need a valid University useraccount and password.

Also, logging in requires a multi-factor authentication using the Duo Mobile application.
