Turnitin plagiarism detection is possible to run on the documents submitted to Moodle assignment activity.
Turn on the Turnitin feature in the Assignment activity
Create a new assignment activity and on the settings open the Turnitin Integrity settings and check the Enable Turnitin checkbox.

You can define the following settings:
- Exclude from Similarity Reports: You can filter bibliography or quotes from the similarity check.
- Submission indexing: You can select if the submissions should be added to JYUs private repository and to be available for matching against similarity reports by other people within JYU.
- Generate Similarity Reports:
- 'Immediately' report will be generated as soon as a file is uploaded,
- 'Immediately and regenerated on due date' will be generated after a file is uploaded and it will be regenerated on the due date, and
- 'Due date' will only receive rimilarity report on the due date of the assignment.
- Student access: We strongly recommend that you'll allow students to view Similarity Reports.
- Process draft submissions: This setting will allow similarity reports to be generated for each draft of a submission.
Read the Turnitin Report In Assignment
Once the Turnitin report is complete, the teacher can read the report by clicking the percentage. Open the assignment activity and view the submissions

- Click Evaluate and you'll see students submissions one by one.

- View all submissions and under the File Submissons -column, click the colored percentage button which opens the Turnitin report.
