JYU Online Courses is the University of Jyväskylä's learning platform for MOOCs.

A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is a web-based course aimed at a large audience and is open to everyone. Anyone can browse the course content for free, but to complete the course, they must register for it.

JYU Online Courses provides a platform for scalable MOOCs for a wide range of participants, including international students. Courses are typically available throughout the academic year, and students can enroll and complete courses at their own pace. 

JYU Online Courses platform is Moodle based, but it is not a copy of JYU Moodle. For example, the activities that are available have been chosen so that the assessment can be automated and tracking the completion progress and assessment does not burden teachers.
