Summer 2025 service opening hours


Digital services

Digital services service desk will be open on the third floor of Lähde (Library / B building) during summer as follows:

Normal opening hours for service desk and customer service phone number will resume on July 28th.

The digital services emergency desk can be reached in the evenings (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and weekends (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) normally throughout the summer by calling 050 5527 222.

The teaching support team is available on a limited basis during July.

Video support and filming services are closed from June 19th to August 10th. Self-service video services, such as Moniviestin and Zoom online meetings, are available, but there may be a longer delay than usual in processing support requests.

Student and Academic Services

Student service desk
Student service desk will be available throughout summer, but because of summer holidays, the response time may be longer than usual. See further information on the contact cards of Student service desk and Sisu support.

Continuous learning services
Continuous learning services are open throughout the summer, but due to the summer holidays, the response time may be longer than usual. RPL applications from the Open University will not be processed during July. You can find the contact channels on our website on the contact card of continuous learning services.

Degree education services
The peak period for degree processing in the Degree education services is in June and July, when the response time is longer than usual. Services will be on summer break after the peak at the second week of July, when service will be very limited. Services will return to normal in mid-August. The Support for Doctoral Studies
The Support for Doctoral Studies team is on holiday from 7 to 27 July 2025. We will reply to messages when we return from holiday. In addition, the response time may be longer than usual in early July and at the end of July and at the beginning of August.

Admission Services
Admission services will be available throughout the summer, but response times may be longer than usual due to summer holidays. We prioritize questions regarding student selections of this spring. For more information about customer service, please refer to our contact information cards:

International Office
International Office will be available throughout the summer to assist outgoing exchange students, incoming exchange students, and international degree students. Due to vacations, response times may be longer than usual. Regarding staff mobility, services will be very limited especially in June and July. Contact information for International Office.

Open Science Centre (OSC)

The library's customer service desk on the upper ground floor of the Lähde building is open in the summer:

The customer service phone number 040 805 3803 is available during the opening hours of the service desk. Customer service requests (https://help.jyu.fi/jp orjykneuvonta@library.jyu.fi) will be answered to throughout the summer on weekdays.

Converis-publications will be open throughout the summer. There may be a delay in responding to service requests.

Collection Centre
Materials will be delivered from the Collection Centre between June 16 and July 18, and again between July 28 and August 8, twice a week. Deliveries will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. No deliveries will be made during July 21–25 (week 30).

The interlibrary loan service is closed from June 30 to August 3.

You can book a education or consultation session as usual using the with the HelpJYU form. The holidays of the sectoral informatics will be indicated in the automatic reply to the e-mail.

Please make sure that your credits for this academic year are in order by the end of June.

There is a break in reply for the Science for All requests in June 4-6, 2025, and July 1-30, 2025.

We will reply to requests on Guided Campus tours from Wednesday to Friday at 12–5 p.m., and on Saturdays at 12–4 p.m.

Data Team (TOIMO)

The data team will be on holiday during weeks 30 and 31. During these weeks, service requests submitted through the Data Team and the Reporting Portal and Power BI forms will not be answered.

HR ja International Staff Services (ISS)

HR Services primarily schedules their vacations for July, and the services are limited during the weeks 29–30. During the summer holiday period, you can contact HR through the HelpJYU service portal. However, there may be a longer delay in responding to service requests in July.

During weeks 29–30, we offer very limited support service through the HR team's service number 0294418124 and via email hr-palvelut@jyu.fi. There are no assistant services available in weeks 29–30.

Please also note that services related to the arrival of international visitors and new international employees will not be available at all in July.

Finances

The financial and travel secretarial teams will be available throughout the summer via HelpJYUn. Otherwise, the financial services will be closed during weeks 2930.

Facility services

Facility services have holiday periods from June to second week of August, during which there will be delays in responses. The services will be closed during weeks 2930.

Research and Innovation Services (RIS)

Research and Innovation Services will be available throughout summer, but because of summer holidays, the response time may be longer than usual in July.

Web communication and web support

Communications Services (viestinta@jyu.fi) is open throughout the summer. Website support (access rights, short URL, creating a page) is on holiday from July 14th to August 1st. There will be a limited response to emails sent to marketing@jyu.fi.
