If the Mailman mailing list has only users with University of Jyväskylä user IDs (students, staff, users with visitor IDs) and you are not planning on adding external members in the future, make a request for a new IdM/OMA mailing list in HelpJYU using this form: http://r.jyu.fi/mailman-eol.
If the list also includes external people who do not have University of Jyväskylä accounts, the email list can be created as a Microsoft 365 group (M365 groups mailing list service). Examples of lists suitable for this purpose are:

Your request will be processed and you will be contacted about the transfer of the list.
Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer this service to external organisations, associations or other entities in the future. The University of Jyväskylä's email list services will only be available to University staff and students in the future.
If you or the entity you represent still need an email list service, we recommend you to check out Mailchimp and MailerLite, which also have a free tier (NOTE! The University of Jyväskylä does not provide support for these services).
