1. Download and install Cisco AnyConnect software
Download and install Cisco AnyConnect-software from the link below login with JYU user authentication.
NOTE! DO NOT install software with the default settings! During installation you choose which components of VPN-software will be installed. Remove all checked components except "VPN" like in picture below:
2. Using VPN conncetion
Start your VPN software Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. Write address "vpn.jyu.fi" and click "Connect".
Software asks for authentication Choose from "Group" drop menu:
- student
- staff
- affiliate when neither staff or student
Write your JYU Username + Password then click OK.
In a moment a VPN connection will be established. When successful, VPN window hides into top right corner bar.
When you are done working with VPN, remember to 'Disconnect' VPN.
