Each University of Jyväskylä unit has internally set guidelines of what kind of work smartphones unit or department is using. A list of standard models is updated every six months (or quicker if there a change in availability, models, etc.)
To get a workphone, please contact your departmental telephone contact person who will make the order.
A phone can be ordered also as a secondhand phone. University of Jyväskylä is recycling used phones via a pool of devices. These devices are factory reset so they will work as a new device. Secondhand devices are models that are still receiving manufacturers updates to the operating system software. After a particular phone model stops getting updates, these models are being decommisioned securely.

Telephone and mobile subscription pricing is a contractual secrecy between service provider and University of Jyväskylä.
Telephones are provided by Midare Oy and mobile subscriptions by Elisa Oyj.
Telephone is always delivered with a wallet casing or a transparent silicone cover. Wallet is either black or white, if there are no standard colours available, the colour can be also different.

Note, before travelling outside Finland, please contact Digital services phone services, due data usage outside finland is disabled by default on University of Jyväskylä mobile subscriptions.
The University of Jyväskylä follows the one-connection per user rule, i.e. the network connection to a tablet or laptop should primarily be shared from a smartphone using the so-called mobile hotspot function.
If needed, For laptops and tablets a data subscrition can be ordered from digital services/phone services by telephone contact person. All data subscriptions have unlimited data plan (4G, 100Mbit/s).
