Maillists.jyu.fi mailing lists are managed on the OMA- service at https://account.jyu.fi. Email lists are resources attached to eWorkspaces and each email list has its own eWorkspaces with email attached as a resource.
- To manage your email list, click on the "Services"- button in the OMA- service and select eWorkspaces. NOTE! If you do not see any managed eWorkspaces in OMA- service, you do not have administrative rights to any eWorkspaces.

- Select which eWorkspace you want to edit from opening list view. For more information on the eWorkspace, click on the (i) button on the right-hand side of the row. To remove the eWorkspace, tick the "Remove" and click "Save" at the bottom of the page. You can access the eWorkspace settings by clicking on the desired eWorkspace:

- The page that opens screen is basic information about the eWorkspace. On this page you can edit the description and change the end date of the eWorkspace. You can edit the members of the eWorkstation by clicking on the "Members" button.

- New members are added to your eWorkspace by clicking on the "Add members" button.

- Members are added by entering the name of the user to be added in the search field. Click on the "Add" button to add the person to your eWorker. If necessary, the person can also be added as the administrator of the eWorkspace by ticking the "Administrator" box. The administrator can edit the description of the eWorkspace, the validity period and the list of members. Several people can be searched for and added to an eWorkspace at a time. The changes are finally saved by clicking on the "Save" button.

- After adding the desired members, go to the "Basic"- tab of the eWorkspace. The email list is linked as a resource in eWorkspace and the settings for the email list can be found in the "Basic" tab, by clicking on the "Active Resources"- link under "Email list". If necessary, you can delete the email list by ticking the "Delete" box and saving the settings.

- The basic mailing list information tab allows you to change the settings of your mailing list. Check that the descriptive name and address in the list are correct. An email list can have multiple administrators and these can be added by clicking on the "Add senders or administrators" button. NOTE! Only one administrator receives the error messages sent to the list. This person will be specified when the list is created. The administrator can be changed later. By ticking the box "viestinta@jyu.fi", the university's communications department can send mail to the list. By ticking the box "Address book", the address of the mailing list will be shown to all users in the Exchange address book.

- On the "Senders and Administrators" page, you can edit the administrators and senders of your mailing list. If a list member does not have the "send" permission, they cannot send an email to the list. Senders and administrators are added by clicking on the "senders and administrators" button.

- In the search view, search for the desired user and tick the boxes "Sender and/or Administrator". Then click on the "Add" button. Several people can be searched and added to the mailing list at a time. The changes saved by clicking on the "Save" button. In the example image, the user is added to the mailing list to send mail to the list.

N.B. Changes to the members and permissions will take one hour to update when you try to use your email list with your email client.
Moderation and sending permissions for all list members:
- 1. You can choose if sent emails go through without approval, or should list administrator or group administrator(s) approve sent emails
- 2. You can also adjust email sending permissions for all list members: You can allow all list members ("All adrresses") or all list members that have email addresses from University of Jyväskylä ("Addresses of University of Jyväskylä") to send emails to the list.
- N.B. If you select "All adresses", you need to have a moderator that is either list administrator or group administrator(s)!
