Microsoft OneDrive is a file storage location in the Microsoft Office 365 cloud service. University of Jyväskylä staff are recommended to use OneDrive to store work-related files. Unlike using network drives, OneDrive works regardless of device, time and location, without a VPN connection. In addition, OneDrive integrates seamlessly with Office applications, Teams and Outlook. So you can create, edit, save and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint files conveniently when they're on OneDrive instead of your computer's hard drive or network drive.
To use OneDrive, you need to activate Microsoft 365 services on the OMA- service (account.jyu.fi).
NOTE! Please take into consideration the University's privacy policy when processing files in the cloud.
Basic personal data is allowed on JY-managed cloud services, but you MUST NOT uploaded to the cloud:
1. Sensitive personal data
2. files classified as confidential

The O365 application package for students also includes a personal OneDrive storage space, so it's free to use while you study.
