Teams allows you to work remotely and conversationally with your team. In addition to chat messages and team channels, Teams lets you organise online meetings and call other Teams users like Skype.
To use Teams, you need to have an activated Microsoft 365 account. If your email has been moved to a cloud mail service, or you've been using Onedrive or Yammer for example, you already have an activated Microsoft 365 account.

You can use Teams on desktop app, web browser or mobile app.
Use username@jyu.fi to log in to Teams.
Teams are organised into workspaces, or "teams", and chat rooms. Anyone can create a new team workspace and invite their own team to join. You can also create several different channels for the team to share discussions.

Teams is a great place to share files with team members. Files shared under the "Files"- tab in the team, workspace are visible to the whole team. It is important to note, that Teams does not allow you to share information that is classified as confidential or belongs to special categories of personal data (ex: sensitive personal data). For more information, see the guide on Data security and protection in remote working.
Teams can be used to organise online meetings and one-to-one calls. Remote web meetings between staff are recommended to be organised in Teams. The web meeting is organised by sending a web meeting invitation from Outlook. In this way, people from outside the organisation can be invited to meet in Teams.
