This guide will take you through the installation of Microsoft 365 services.
1. Get started here: How to install Office to a home computer
2. The browser (pictured is the Chrome browser) will download the installation media to your computer. The download time depends on the speed of your internet connection.
3. You will also see a guide on how to install the Microsoft 365 package. Click "Got it" to remove the guide.
4. Once the installation media has downloaded, then click to open it. (You can open the program by either clicking on the download that appears in your browser or by going to Finder --> Downloads.) The installation program will open on the "Introduction" page. Click "Continue".
5. Next, we go to the "License" page in the setup program. Click "Continue". Accept the terms of the software license agreement by clicking the "Accept" button.
6. Next, we are on the "Destination Select" page. Select "Install for all users of the computer" if you are the only user of the Mac computer. If someone else is using the computer, then select "Install for me". Make your selection and click "Continue".
7. No changes need to be made on the "Installation type" page. Check that your Mac has enough disk space for the installation (11.32GB). Click "Install". Note! Remember to save your work e.g. in Word before starting the installation. Microsoft applications must be closed during the installation.
8. Your Mac's own "Installer" asks for permission to install the new software on your computer. Accept the request as instructed (password, Touch ID, etc.).
9. The installation begins. Depending on your internet speed, it will take about 15-45min.
10. The program will notify you when the installation is complete. Click "Close".
11. You can find Microsoft 365 apps in Finder --> Applications.
