This guide will take you through the installation of Microsoft 365 services.

 

Installing Microsoft 365 Client:

1. Get started here: How to install Office to a home computer

2. The browser (pictured is the Chrome browser) will download the installation media to your computer. The download time depends on the speed of your internet connection.

3. You will also see a guide on how to install the Microsoft 365 package. Click "Got it" to remove the guide.

 4. Once the installation media has downloaded, then click to open it. (You can open the program by either clicking on the download that appears in your browser or by going to File Explorer --> Downloads.) The installation program will open and immediately start installing the Microsoft 365 package. If you already have some of the applications included in the Microsoft 365 package, the program will install the missing applications and update the old ones. You will not be able to use Microsoft 365 applications during the installation, so close the applications during the installation (the program will ask you to close the applications when it detects one is open).

5. The program will notify you when the installation is complete. Click "Close".

6. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 applications with your University's Microsoft account which is username@jyu.fi.
