What is the Microsoft 365 service?


Microsoft has rebranded the Microsoft Office product family as Microsoft 365. The product family has previously been widely known as O365, Office365, Microsoft Office, etc.

Microsoft 365 allows you to use Office applications regardless of time, place or device. Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based service that includes familiar tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, the same service includes Exchange Online, a staff email service, which is accessed via Outlook. OneDrive cloud storage and Teams messaging service are also part of Microsoft 365. Through Microsoft 365, it is possible to access these numerous applications in a web browser, or download them to your own computer or mobile device.

Microsoft365- services are available to degree students and staff.

Staff can install Microsoft desktop applications on their workstations via the Software Center.
