Collaboration between Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

Teams files are automatically synchronized with SharePoint

If you are in multiple teams in Teams and finding materials in SharePoint is difficult due to the large amount of content, you can easily filter the materials by team on the left side  of the screen , where the names of the Teams teams are displayed.

However, the materials remain internal to the team unless you want to share them. In SharePoint, you can share files with an individual or a group. The access rights of both individuals and groups can be changed on a file-by-file basis. The file owner can choose whether others can view, comment on, or edit the file. Additions, edits, comments, etc. made to the file are visible in real time in both Teams and SharePoint.

Why SharePoint and not just Teams?

SharePoint makes file management easier and faster when all files are in one place. SharePoint also has a lighter user interface, which makes file sharing and collaboration easier. If necessary, you can also delete unnecessary files or add files that are important to you as favorites, making them easier to find. SharePoint also allows you to see all team file edits in one place.

SharePoint offers more filtering options than Teams. For example, you can also view what each person has shared in SharePoint or what has been shared in individual meetings. For example, finding meeting/lecture recordings is easier through SharePoint.

How can I easily see where my files are?

The easiest way to see where your files are is probably through File Explorer.
