What can you do with Teams?


A quick guide to the basic features of Teams

Teams is a communication tool. It differs from other communication tools in that it allows you to share files, edit files at the same time as others, communicate with your whole team at once, channel conversations by subject and organise online meetings.

The most used basic features of Teams are:

  1.  Teams--> communication and working in teams, project groups and other configurations
  2.  Chat--> one- to- one and even larger group conversations in a "flow" style, i.e. the conversation runs in a single queue, rather than in chains.
  3.  Online meetings--> meetings between the team, with a group invited from within the organisation or with complete outsiders

Your view may differ from this picture depending on your operating system, language, using Teams in a browser or as a desktop application, or you have selected different settings for the Teams view. You can change your view settings by clicking on the three dots next to your user icon in the top right corner and selecting "Settings" from there. In Settings you will find notification, privacy, device, file settings and many other settings.
