You can manage the devices connected to Duo Mobile from the portal. In the portal, you can add a new device, delete a device and replace the current/old device with a new one.
Follow these instructions if you have, for example, bought a new phone and want to install Duo Mobile on it. (Your phone must have the same phone number as your old phone.)
NOTE! You will need your old device to log in to the Duo Mobile Device Management portal.
1. Start by logging in to the portal on your computer at: https://jyu.login.duosecurity.com
Select the phone you want to replace with a new one. Click on "I have a new phone" under the name of the phone you want to replace.
2. Continue by pressing "Get started".
3. Next, the program will ask you to download the Duo Mobile app to your phone. You can download the app from the Google Play store or the Apple App Store. Once you have downloaded the Duo Mobile app to your phone, continue on your computer by pressing "Next".
The Google Play store and Apple App Store are always the first to suggest a "paid ad" app. Be careful to download the right app. The app is also free. You can recognise Duo Mobile here:
4. When you get the QR code on your computer screen, go to your phone continue the installation. To activate Duo Mobile, scan the QR- code (note: not the QR code in the instruction) in the DUO app. Be sure to give the app access to the camera that you can read the QR code.
5. Let's continue the installation for a while on the phone. If you wish, you can enter a name for the new account. By default, the name is JYU. Once you have named your account, press "Save".
6. Next, the Duo Mobile application suggests that you practice using Duo Mobile. You can choose to practice or skip it by selecting "Skip".
7. Allowing notifications will put the authentication request in the "notification menu" of your phone where it will be faster to accept it. It is recommended to select "Allow notifications".
8. Once you have scanned the QR code and completed the necessary steps on your phone, go back to your computer. Continue the installation by pressing "Continue".
9. The installation is now complete. You will notice that your new device has replaced your old device in the Device Management Portal.
1. You can delete a device that has been deactivated by selecting "Edit" for the desired phone.
2. Select "Delete".
3. Confirm the deletion.
1. In the Duo Mobile Device Management portal, select the "Add a device" option.
2. Select "Duo Mobile" to install the app on another device.
3. Enter the phone number of the phone you want to connect Duo Mobile. Also select the Finnish flag (+358). The "Add phone number" option will become active once you have entered your phone number.
4. Confirm your phone number by clicking "Yes, it's correct".
5. Take your phone to your operating system specific store (either the App Store or Play Store) and install the "Duo Mobile" app on your phone. Once you have installed the app, click the "Next" button.
The example in the picture shows the Apple App Store.

6. Activate Duo Mobile by scanning the QR code (note: not the QR code in the guide) displayed on the screen with the QR code reader in the DUO app. Open the Duo app from your phone and press "Use a QR code".

11. The installation is now complete and you can find the second device in the management panel.
The next time you use Duo Mobile authentication, you can choose which phone will receive the notification/approval request.
