In principle, the username for JYU data systems is permanent.
Please note that not all information systems are designed in a way that allows easy replacement of a username with a single change. Changing a username may result in situations where the user no longer has access or editing rights to previously stored or processed data, such as files, group workspaces, or messages sent in discussion groups. Changing a username requires commitment and involves significant manual work for both the user and university services.
