You can get a course area in Moodle by ordering it using the form in Moodle or by creating it directly from the SISU.
1. Log in to Moodle
2. Click Home at the top of the page
3. On the page that opens, click Tiedekunnat
3. On the right side of the page that opens, you will find the More button, which, when clicked, will bring up a menu from which you will click Request a course.
4. Course request page for the course area opens and you can now fill out the order form.
5. The form must contain information for the course area to be created
-
- Details of the course you are requesting
- Course full name: eg. "Jannen training course area before the right course"
- Course short name: eg. Jannen training course
- Short name must be unique
- Short name appears in the path in the course area instead of the course name
- Course Category: Select which unit's course you want to create using the search box. For example, if you want to try out the features of Moodle and create a training area, search for sandbox and select Sandbox.
- Summary: course description (shown in search results)
- Details of the course you are requesting
Reasons for wanting this course
- Briefly justify the use of the course area. Training areas are perfectly permissible and desirable, so that’s enough to justify it.
- Maintain an approval form and justification and may accept or reject the course area order. Processing usually takes 1-2 business days.
- Once your course area is approved, you will see the course area in Moodle after logging in and you will be a teacher with it.
- If your order is rejected, you will be informed why the course area order has been rejected and you can follow the instructions provided.
6. After entering the information, click the Request a course button at the bottom of the page.
